The movie
Watchmen is to be released March 6, but the
real Alan Moore fans who read the comic book, will remember that throughout the graphic novel, at regular intervals, we were entertained with an epic parallel story. Well, the studio who will release the movie has decided to make an animated cartoon out of it and release it in DVD and Blue Ray format at the
end of March!!!
Here’s the teaser:

Sometimes, it sounded like that:
And for the fans, here’s 6 minutes of “hambone”. Just for you!

Hispong started the challenge, but I originally saw it on
JasMc’s blog.
Rules :
You must place on your blog a popular tune from your teenage years that is now mostly forgotten. This tune must be cheesy.
My choice was difficult because the cheesy tunes I know are all still fairly popular. But, I still found on YouTube an excellent candidate.
Ralph et les Baronics - C’est l’été! (1988)
And since my blog is bilingual, I get to choose again!
Debbie Gibson, is my secondary 3, my trip to Toronto, we were bad little rascals!

Back then, I was listening to Debbie Gibson’s Electric Youth and to One by Metallica. Yup.
If you feel up for this challenge, bear in mind that the following tunes have already been taken. Try to be original
Already taken:
- Whigfield Saturday Night
- Rappeur Chic with Manuel Tadros
- Shampoo Trouble
- Rico Suave
- Ralph et les Baronics - C’est l’été
- Electric Youth - Debbie Gibson
- Straight Up - Paula Abdul

Funny, albeit a little condescending agains english Canadians.
Artists defend themselves with vigor and big productions.
The cuts are small compared to the whole of the culture budget, but it seems to have hit the nail right where it hurts.
What bugs me a bit is that this spreads a negative xenophobic idea about English Canada. This summer, artists were accusing the people in Quebec City of being xenophobic, in contrast with the openness of the urban areas like Montréal.
The artists in this video represent the general sovereignist Montreal culture, please, let me express my uneasiness with this stereotypes anglophobic caricature.
