Vinvin

cyrille de lasteyrie
Cyrille De Lasteyrie aka Vinvin
Cyrille De Lasteyrie, is a French blogger.
He’s also a vlogger in french and in english.
But first and foremost, Cyrille is VinVin (and VinVin Entertainment!), a nickname that comes from his blog name, 20/20 (twenty over twenty, or twenty-twenty, which translates to vingt-vingt, or vinvin) where he grades stuffs that he puts his hands onto or stuff that comes by him: movies, restaurants, and so on.
And Vinvin, is a crazy person.

Why am I talking about him? Because he’s just starting a new season for two vlogging projects, and I kind of like them.

The most popular, I think, is Bonjour-America. I first found out about Vinvin through this vlog. The concept is that he explains France to Americans. Since here in Quebec we are very americanised, I consider myself part of the target audience. He takes up by the hand and doesn’t take any prerequisite for granted. He uses silly characters and doesn’t take himself seriously. His dream? Was to meet Clint Eastwood. But that hasn’t happened. After the first season, which was very successful, VinVin has long left us wondering what would happen with the vlog. Now, all is clear, season two has begun!
bonjour-america
This time around, forget about Clint Eastwood. Cyrille now aims to get a job as a foreign French correspondant for the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. In fact, I truly believe this could work. At least once..

This season, I suspect he will talk to us about French politics, with the upcoming presidential elections. In his introductory episode to season two, we mainly learn how to pronounce Zinédine Zidane with an english accent, though. Funny. :)

He found himself a sponsor for parts of the season of Bonjour-America. Congratulations!

le télépathe
His other vlog is in french, but funny nonetheless. He really is in his element, no english accent, no academic goals, but an entertaining one.

He is then the telepath. The telepath shares with us what he likes, what he hates and his general impressions about television shows. Of course, the whole thing is shown from the point of view of the silly comedy and humour that makes VinVin unique. This vlog is also broadcasted by wireless phone.

I thus recommend both vlogs and his blog. Click on the images to gain access to the corresponding vlogs.

Have a nice laugh.

Our Next Premier?

andré boisclair
André Boisclair, PQ
and opposition leader
André Boisclair, leader of the Parti Québécois and openly homosexual made a cameo in a parody of the movie Brokeback Mountain. The scene involves George W. Bush and Stephen Harper, photo added on live actors, naked in a tent, having fun with food. In a sensual way. Comes André who simply says that “Quebec will never get involved.”

After admitting to having used cocaine while he was a minister in a former government, here he goes, making a fool of himself. He later apologized, but it’s too late.

Politicians nowadays are whores. They will go to any extent to win a vote. However, this time around, I think the bad taste of the joke will probably win the PQ as more votes as they will lose.

They think they will win vote by making us laugh instead of using their brains to come up with real ideas. Not all electors are not stupid. For the rest of us, there’s André Boisclair.

Never Board An Indian Plane

Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at 3:00 pm

What would you do if you saw a man climbing on the wing of the aircraft you just boarded to fix something up with…

DUCT TAPE ?!?!?!?!?!

I’d get the hell out.

This video was shot in December ‘04 on an Air Deccan flight from Bangalore to Mumbai. Here’s the author’s website.
Looked out my window and what did I see, a group of guys repairing the wing with some sort of muthafcukin’ duct tape. There’s some more repairs to the left of the one they are working on with what seems to be the same technique. Crossed my fingers, tossed back a shot of Black Label, and stayed on the flight.

He has more balls than me.

The Missile

Addictive game where you are a missile who goes through a pipe filled with moving obstacles.

Have a nice procrastination session.
