Kim Stolz
Before the rumours start spreading, I started watching the show because my wife likes it, so it’s not because I have a “thing” for fashion or anything like that. Besides, it’s really entertaining to watch twelve beautiful women (well, not all twelve were my type… only Kim, really) fight to get on top of the fashion world!
Kim was my favourite. She was the cutest, the most articulate, I fell in love!
However, my chances are nil since she’s openly a lesbian.
Oh well, she’s going to have a great carreer, and I bet you anything she will model for big magazines, and not just gay magazines, because I do not want to have to go through those to have a look at her. Okay Kim?
Kim Stolz is a 21 years old 5′8″ graduate of the Wesleyan University in Connecticut, from NYC, New-York.
She a government major and finished her 180-page thesis on the implications of the US government actions abroad just before embarking on her Top Model adventure.
Kim Stolz was also a member of the Trans/Gender group at Wesleyan University and helped pen the transcript monologue in the 2003 production of “The Vagina Monologues”.
I do not believe that Kim is a transgender person though, even though she’s boyish, she still acts pretty much like a girl. A man would not gossip that much, and is not that emotional, or are we conditionned to not be? (That’s another topic entirely).
As she said on the show:

Also, on a side note, I found out while documenting myself for this article (as I always do!) that it costs on average 44 432 $us to attend this university.
When I compare that with the 2000 $can tuition of Laval University (I believe it’s still less than 6000 $can for foreign students to attend Laval University), I’m sort of glad I didn’t have to mortgage my house to study. However, I question myself as to what a difference it makes in the quality of education… In France, the system is almost free for any students to attend university, (about 500 euros in a worst case scenario). From the feedback I get from french friends, the universities tend to be kind of harsh on scoring students, and are very impersonal. At Laval U. I believe we get a fair education, but I think they lack lots of resources and it depends a lot on which department we’re talking about. It’s probably the same thing everywhere though.
So back on topic, Kim, you rock girl. If you ever feel like having a beer when you come to Quebec, just send me an email and I’m right there!

Avant que les rumeurs fusent, j’ai commencé à regarder cette émission de télé parce que ma femme aimait ça, donc ce n’est pas parce que j’ai un soudain intérêt pour la mode ou quoi que ce soit du genre. D’un autre côté, c’est plaisant de regarder douze jolies femmes (enfin, pas toutes jolies, Kim était la seule qui m’avait tombé dans l’oeil) se bagarrer pour être au sommet du monde de la mode!

I’m not exactly a fan, but I follow her career. Since a lot of her devout fans are stopping by my blog, I thought I would give them an update on how Kim is doing. Since leaving America’s Next Top Model, she joined Elite Model Management. Her modeling gigs involved Brooklyn Industries, GO NYC Magazine, Women’s Wear Daily, ELLEgirl, Seventeen and Ford Fusion. She made the covers of GO NYC Magazine (September 2005, December 2005), and Women’s Wear Daily. She also walked the runway for Alice and Olivia’s fall 2006 collection, and Sprite Street Couture 2006. Aside from modeling, Kim also got her own show, the Freshman, as a VJ on mtvU. Some videos of the show can be watched on mtvU’s site. She also made her presence felt online. She has a MySpace page, as well as a blog. I think that’s about it. Oh, Kim, the invitation for the beer still stands. She pretty much made the whole show for me. I really don’t even know or care who won that season, cause it wasn’t Kim.

She definately looked like she had some promise from that episode of Veronica Mars she was in. She’s a hell of a better than anyone in an Uwe Boll movie….or even a Micheal Bay movie for that matter.
