Holiday Bunny Ads from Telus

Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at 4:57 pm

And now, it’s time for… bunnies!

Following the huge success of those Telus bunnies I talked about a month ago, here’s a new litter! These are the christmas ads from Telus, as well as some ads seen on billboards, around the cities in Canada.

Hope you all enjoy!

My favourite for the christmas ads is the Goal! one, and I guess the carrot truck incident as well. Thanks Telus for advertising with such beautiful bunnies. That’s an awesome idea, awesomely executed.

According to Telusman on the Howard Forums on mobile phones:

The music featured in these ads are Flux Land by XL for the “Goal!” ad, Hot Topic by Le Tigre for the “Bunnies Notes? and Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee for the “Xmas Family”.

The featured bunnies hail from Celestial Rabbitry in Dundas, Ontario, Canada.
Their website is giving me a headache, and I would advise any epileptic person to avoid the page due to the amount of things flashing in the page. Aside from that, they sure have cute bunnies!

Other than being cute and cuddly, the bunnies were chosen because they are easy to work with and naturals in front of the camera. Not only did they all get along well with each other, they never displayed a hint of grouchiness to the TELUS Mobility team members working with them. As long as they were free to eat and excrete non-stop, they were happy…the bunnies not the crew. They range from about one kilogram for the aptly named Netherland Dwarfs to about 2.5 kilograms for the hefty Holland Lops. During the shooting, the bunnies munched on green leafy vegetables, grass hay and rabbit pellets.

Right now, the bunnies are back home at Celestial Rabbitry.

Finally, here are a few images from the billboards around the city and from images gathered from the web.

Update: More bunny ads! I just saw an ad for the family plan with a traditional canadian music. The ads combines bunnies and the lizards! Yes! I’ll try to grab a hand on it and share it with you all. Keep an eye out on my site.
Update: I found out this is actually the french version of the family plan. You can find this ad here along with the slightly different other french ads.

    Okay, the bunnies are cute.
But the beavers in Bell’s TV ads are funnier!

[…] French Telus Xmas Ads / Annonces Telus de Noël en français 21 November, 2005, 03h56 by / par brem Source: Rabbits-only forum Thanks to MyBunnyBoys from the Rabbits-only forum who pointed me to the fact that the new Telus X-mas ads are now available on their site, I can now share with you the french version of these ads I shared with you some days ago. They are similar, yet a little bit different in their content, music, etc. So they are still worth the look, even for non-english speaking persons. These new ads are taking the place of their previous ads on their website, still available here. (slightly different french version / version française un peu différente) Bunny music notes (french version) Notes de musique en lapin (version française) bunny familly (totally different french version) lapin en famille (version française totalement différente) The carrot accident and the bunny notes are practically the same, only the actual narrated and written content changes. The Goal! ad is slightly different from the english version as the bunny supporting the losing team go away and the winning rabbits sort of celebrate. The family plan one is totally different from the english one, as it does not mention x-mas at all, both the soundtrack and the content is totally different. For you, english bunny lovers, here’s a transcript of the family plan ad: Petite famille - Small family Grande famille - Big family Famille proche - Close family Famille éloignée - litterally mean far family, but I believe the right term is “extended family” (It mean the opposite of close relatives… they are relatives, but more of acquaintances really, any other proposal will be welcome) Famille adoptive - Adoptive family Famille reconstituée - Reconstituted family (is it the right term? When one or two separated adults merge their families… ) Famille du samedi - Saturday family (well… a gang of buddies is a family, right?)
