Powerballs

While talking to Francis about the wake-up grenade, he told me about a really cool gadget he had heard of.
It’s the Powerball. It’s both a hobby and a sport, and it uses cool and clever technology. The glowing lights also give it an edge.
So what is it? I didn’t really understand until I saw this video of a man using a Powerball.
He makes it spin, using a wrist movement, not unlike… well… it’s a wrist movement.
Inside the ball is a gyroscope and a rpm counter. The more you make it spin, the more the gyro makes it difficult to hold on to, hence the face of the guy towards the end of the video.
If you wonder what 15 552 means on the digital display, it’s the rpm the ball spins inside the powerball.
Apparently, this will reinforce wrist muscles. Well, I don’t play golf or bowling, but I find the idea pretty neat!
The only thing is that it’s rather expensive at 40$can (30$us). So I have created a PayPal donation fund for my Powerball. Alors qu’est-ce que c’est? Je n’ai pas trop compris jusqu’à ce que je regarde ce vidéo d’un homme qui utilise une Powerball.
Il la fait tourner, en faisant un mouvement du poignet, non sans rappeller… ben, un mouvement du poignet.
À l’intérieur de la balle se trouver un gyroscope et un compteur de tours. Plus on fait tourner la balle, plus le gyroscope rend le maintien de la balle dans la main difficile, d’où l’expression faciale tendue de l’homme sur le vidéo. Si vous vous demandez ce que signifie le 15 552 sur l’affichage numérique, c’est le nombre de révolutions par minute de la balle à l’intérieur de la powerball.
Apparemment, l’usage de ce gadget va renforcer les muscles du poignet. Eh bien, je ne joue pas au golf ni au bowling, mais je trouve l’idée très intéressante!
La seule chose, c’est que c’est un peu cher, à 40$can (30$us). J’ai donc créé un compte PayPal pour recueillir vos dons pour le fond pour ma Powerball.
